Never noticed any shudder ever, but took it in and service guy had the fluid changed no questions asked or test drives done. It does have a hard 1 - 2 shift usually only the first shift of the day and occasionally (rarely) after warm up which is still present. There is now 23,000 miles on it and still no shudder.And what occurs is a loss of hydraulic pressure to keep the frictions and steels clamped securely, so the shudder is parts slipping as the pressure fluctuates to them. This DOES cause damage over time and even the replacement TC from GM is the same poor design.
